When applying for a federal loan for college is there a limit on how much one can borrow? - college federal loan student

can be borrowed or 10000 or more, there is a limit that we should stay here?

Im gonna be a freshman at the school in fall 2009.

Yes, there is a limit to the type of individual "Loans in its various stages and dependency status.

Federal Stafford loans have a maximum of 5500 for students in charge.

If you come up for a Perkins loan account (you'll need for a very low EFC) will have, you get over 5,500 (in Stafford), if the cost of participation is over.

Your parents can borrow more for you ... New to the cost of attending their school.
